Stop consuming cheap, processed foods.

There are so many diets available that claim to aid in weight loss. But as we all know, not all of them are effective, and some perhaps do more harm than good.

Sugar increases our weight beyond that of pure fat! That’s correct: when we consume too much sugar, we put on weight more quickly than when we consume fat alone. This is due to the fact that multiple hormones involved in weight loss/gain govern hunger signals in the hypothalamus, a portion of the brain that controls metabolism, so if those hormones are out of whack, they’ll send signals screaming “eat more!” even when our bodies are no longer hungry….

And this occurs when consuming too many high-GI foods, such as white bread or pastries made with white flour rather than whole wheat flour, which keeps glucose levels low enough so that only small amounts enter cells without raising insulin levels above normal levels where they would start storing fat rather than burning it off.
